Flagship IV - was built in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1958. She is a stout boat built with 2" mahogany planks and 4" x 4" mahogany ribs.
We bought her in 2005 and brought her to Philadelphia. Her name was the Roxy Lee, cruising out of Penobscot Bay, Maine. Penobscot Bay is near Bangor, Maine. The bay was used for the movie The Hunt For Red October.
She is United States Coast Guard Certified for 150 passengers, plus crew. Her lower deck salon is enclosed, with walk-around, outside weather-deck. Within the enclosed area is the bar, seating and buffet table. Heating and air conditioning, too. Two new, custom-designed heads ["toilets" to you landlubbers] on the lower deck. Flagship IV has FM and CD music system throughout. Behind the bar is equipped with:
- 3 beverage taps, with pressure
- refrigerators and freezers
- 2 sinks with hot and cold running water.
The upper deck is open and covered. Tables and seating for excellent viewing the beautiful riverside. Flagship IV is designed and maintained for your comfort, safety and pleasure.
You may remember her as Good Ship Lollipop cruising out of Philadelphia in the 1960's. Many folks remember her from the good ol' days of our youth, "...
cruisin' down the river
..."
Below decks:
- a pair of Detroit 671 diesel engines
- 2 Norpro Gensets, 7.5 kw and 15. kw
